Looks like we are going to have an amazing Medieval Banquet next Wednesday! Can't wait to see the finished products. Reminder that if you are writing the Re-Quiz for the Anglo-Saxon unit, it is tomorrow at lunch.

Main theme today: Appreciate what we have in common and respect what makes us unique. Chaucer knew he had to capture the voices of many different people if he wanted to represent society. He pointed out the flaws in people, but still had an appreciation for people's differences. 

Another note: The pilgrims in CT were also travelling to the shrine of Thomas a Becket-a man who was murdered for his religious beliefs. This is an excellent reminder of those who are tortured and killed even today for their religious or political views (and how important it is to
